1984 Mustang SVO.

The search for this car took over a year. It seemed impossible, until a random sighting of a 1984 SVO Mustang for sale in a Home Depot parking lot. It was in rough shape, it barely ran and needed tons of work. The car was purchased in 2003 and the restoration took three years.
The wiring harness was removed and rebuilt. The engine and driveline was brought up to 1986 specifications and remains mostly stock. The rear suspension has been converted to an IRS from a 2003 Mustang Cobra.
This SVO – named Dazey – was featured in a 1997 issue of Mustang Illustrated.
Some structural work was required to correct a fender-bender to the rear, and the roof was replaced to correct C-pillar rust and align every seam and body line. The seats were rebuilt using multiple SVO donors. Aftermarket upholstery and foams were not available at time of restoration.
